The Triskel is the Celtic symbol by definition. Its name comes from the Greek "triskelês" which means "to three legs". It is above all a lucky charm. In Breton, it means the "three rays". Some assimilate it with the sun, because it looks with its three branches in the three directions and seems to monitor the universe.

It is often said that the Triskel represents the three dynamic elements: water, air, fire. The earth is the center.

The spiral shape of Triskel's branches is a symbol of life, dynamism and enthusiasm. The direction of the Triskel is also important because when the circles turn to the right, anticyclonic sense, it is a symbol of peace.
